Quality Assessment of Raw Honey Issued from Eastern Romania

Romania is known among the main European honey producers, due to variety of landforms as well diversity flora. Thirty-four samples acacia, linden and multifloral types, produced in eastern collected during 2013–2018, were physico-chemically analyzed using methods provided by national EU standards. The results water-insoluble solids, color refractive index found be 0.023–0.131%, 0.3–76.4 mm Pfund 1.485–1.499, respectively. moisture content ranged between 15.20% 20.77%, solid substances 79.23% 84.80% total soluble 77.83 °Brix 83.26 °Brix. obtained values specific gravity from 1.414 1.450 g/cm3, pH 3.673 5.503 free acidity 2.4 meq 50 kg−1. ash electrical conductivity varied 0.030 0.543% 130 679 µS cm−1, Pearsonʹs correlation analysis showed an intense association with (r = 0.81). Our findings reveal qualitative level Romanian variation quality parameters factors such geographical region, climatic conditions, botanical origin handling or storage conditions.
